March For Marvin Guy

On Saturday, September 25th over a hundred people took to the streets of Austin to demand freedom for Marvin Guy.

We marched from the George Washington Carver Museum to the Texas Capitol Building in Austin, TX to send a message to Texas leaders that was too loud to ignore. Thank you to those who lent their voices to speak at the march, including Garett Galloway (Marvin Guy’s brother), Nick Bezzel (Chair of the Elmer Geronimo Pratt Gun Club), Nelson Linder (President of the Austin NAACP), Tardrick Fowler Sr. (father of Tardrick Fowler Jr.), Clayton Tucker (Texas Director of Our Revolution) and Tiffany Dena Loftin and Gary Chambers (Grassroots Law Project). “You got a lot of people out here taking it to the streets for you, bro. We’re taking it from the streets of Killeen, to the city hall, to the state capitol. We gonna bring you home.”

In the News:

“An honest man is incarcerated. And a family has to plead with its government to do the job that it is paid to do… if that can happen to a black man in Texas, it can happen to anyone anywhere.”

Donate to Marvin’s legal defense Fund:

Thanks to Grassroots Law supporters, we were able to send an initial payment for Marvin Guy’s new legal defense. But it could cost us $1,000,000 to see this fight through, save a life, and free Marvin.

If you can afford it, please chip in to help fund Marvin’s new legal defense. Any amount makes a difference.

Legal fees for Marvin's case could be more than $1,000,000
